so catcing a cod like that with a extra ULTRALIGHT trout rod? 4lb baitcaster rod??? i'm yet to find one that won't cost me over 400aud.

i guess there's gotta be a 0 after that 2. 20kilo rod i guess should be more appropriate

Yeh you dont need heavy gear to catch the fish, You get a better fight and use more skill with lighter line.

by all reports the rod and line used are what is stated in the thread... and i personally have no reason to doubt them at all..

would have been an awesome tussle...it wasnt weighed but snaps was guessing nearly 20 kilo ?????
