Donut in the Albert

Finally managed to get down to the Albert river today in the yak. After a great morning on the water I managed only one boil behind a jitterbug and tried just about every surface, shallow diver and spinnerbait in my tacklebox.

I did manage to pull a gold bomber out of a tree though which is great as I don't have one in my tacklebox.

It certainly is shallow in parts which saw me pulling out the mirage drive and paddling for some sections. Even had to get out and pull it through some small rapids. Don't know how far up we got but it took a godd 45 mins to peddle back.

It is a very scenic and fishy looking creek but I guess they just didn't want to come out and play today. So I still have my native bass cherry to pop.
