here's the combo i'll be throwing the heavier ones in the pic

loomis forcelite 10-17lb( wish it was 15-25lb)

calais 100a

73m fireline 30lb with bimini twist at end

1.8m 60lb leader( hopefully i can get black magic tough) or 5m wind on 80lb leader if i still get bust offs)

all rings on lures will be changed to 40lb test rings. all lures i'll throw will have new hooks that can hold up to 30lb force.

when fishing, i'll keep drag at least 10lb-12lb at all stages of fight.

 Holy smoke that is some serious gear mate! I can't wait to see the pics of the monster jewie or threadies that you drag out with it!:woohoo:

the action of some lures will not be as strong as when they carried light hardware but i've tried my best to minimise the impact of heavy tackle. i've put oversized rings in the lures i'll throw on this gear and i will use a jerking retrieve rather than just winding them in so that they can still entice hits when carrying heavy hardware.

Gee if you can fish that heavy and still get a quality fight, why would you fish lighter! Kev didnt you tell me you got busted off on 60lb leader! Thats awesome. Id say if you can get done on that poundage best to keep things heavy!
