Where to buy GPS's

Where does everyone buy their GPS equiptment. I just want to ring around a few places to check prices before I buy mine.

Olbis at Rocklea... have had only good times with them, even when I jumped up and down about a refund and refused to leave till we sorted it out!

If you are looking for Marine GPS maybe try Whitworth's Marine.

Or you could try Oblis Communications at Rocklea. They have a big range of all types of GPS equipment. Check the price though as I found them to be a bit hexy

Thanks Greg. Olbis are the same price as Appleseed. I'm guessing that garmin would have a rrp that every store would sell their products at.?

Which one have you decided on ?

Garmin Colorado 300.

Bloody hard choice between that one and the Garmin 60CSx, there's so much information on both of them, and pros and cons for both. I've been doing to research for about 2 weeks, and to be honest, either unit would be fine for me. The only things I'm worried about are the teething issues in the colorados which seem to be quite problematic. But i'm hopeing these all get sorted out with future firmware updates.

Thoughts anyone?

Mate just because its the RRP dont expect to pay it. Ring both companies and get the best price, then play them off against each other for the sale. A few $$$ is better in your pocket than theirs.

Well thanks everyone for your opinions especially Ellicat! I just place my order through www.jandhproducts.com, a site Eliicat suggested, and got $150 off the rrp! + a 3 year extended warranty, so really about $200 off! I'm a happy man here! :woohoo:

Just hope now it arrives before my Moreton trip on Sunday :dry:
