Anyone interested in having a session one weekend. Where is the best place to get hooks from?

G'day Ray

Browse around this site

www.jannsnetcraft.com

U.S. site and I have been dealing with them for a while.

Very fast delivery and reeasonable postage. 6 days from order date to delivery here.

The have tips and procedures for casting jig-heads, sinkers etc and all the fixins to do so.

I have one of their lead melters on order as I write. 110 volts but I have a transformer from 240v from Dick Smiths.

Have a look at the gear for moulding soft plastics. I havent heard of anyone doing it in Aus yet. Looks pretty simple.

Get them to send you a catalogue. Handy stuff in there.

Have fun

ill be there,

i have a fare bit of lead id be willign to sacrifice. i have a packet of mustad aberdeen hooks aswell but i agree with kriso, id lean towards using gamakatsu or owner. Those Matzuo hooks in the link chubbster posted are good for light fishing, very very sharp.

But with the weights of your molds id be assuming for use on reefs etc chasing snapper in which case youd want a pretty stout hook.

Good idea mate
