Knots for braid

Just would like to c what everyones using i will start

Backing to braid -double uni

Braid to leader- 5 turn surgeons cheers

rapala knot for lures

locked half blood for terminals

Anyone got a good link for knots? I only know the 1 that I have been doing forever

is it the same as Albright Knot cheers

I like the albright special myself, I feel its more secure than the albright, it starts off the same as the albright knot, just a variation at the end, Link here

*edit* not sure if the link i provided is the albright special, the site calls it an improved albright, but thats the one I use.

Mite change to the albright for backing to braid but i like the surgeons for leaders i think its a bit smaller cheers

realchippy as the name starts it's an improved version of the allbright special

double about 15cm of the monno to form a loop

hold this loop in your left fingers

pass 10cm of the (braid)through the loop

pinch the loop and braid together with your right fingers and thumb

then wind the braid around the doubled monno 11 times up the line and pinch it between your left fingers to keep it from unravelling

then then wind it 10 wraps back down to the loop

put the tag end twice through the loop from the opposite side you started from

lubricate and pull tight leaving the tag end loose and sliding the knot down with your fingers

Albright 10 up 10 back for leader.

And beleive it or not, a hangmans knot (5 loops) for hooks and SP.

Lures a hangmans knot to a lure clip.

as for backing I just use an albright, but as the guy at the tackle shop said to me, "your in trouble if you got that much line out".

Lures - Perfection loop

Terminal - Locked half blood

I before i used uni to uni for braid to leader but i found albright much quicker and a bit easier to tie in to wind or night
