Hey mate you can catch bullsharks in the brisbane river Litterly ANYWHERE up to the weir. Just use a 5 - 30cm fleshy bait preferably live but dead works aswell and a wire trace in deep water and your away.. best spots are the ones with a clear bank to land the shark and deep water, which is most spots in the river.

Pretty good answer pinkey.

You might find that your lower reaches have larger sharks. Probably less crabs (I remember the junction... there isn't a river bed, just crabs!!)

Bait selection can play a part in how quickly you get hit by crabs, or if it sits there undisturbed until the sharks get there.

River/creek mouths can be good

Use heavy weight to keep it still and not drifting! That's if, doing it that way is your thing.
