BCF have a little one at the moment on sale, cant remember exactly how much, around the $250 to $300 mark. Good specialist fishing ones usually go for a fair bit bit more than that 2nd hand.

I'd reckon you could fish out of any style of yak, the closed in or racing ones might be a bit harder to keep upright whilst playing a fish though!

Keep an eye out for any yak trips Angus organises, quite often Alex from Viking comes to the party with a couple of "loaners" for people to have a go at.

(Been a while Angus - hint, hint, now I have a yak ;) )

I started out in a BCF cheapo abut a year ago and it is still going strong as a spare as I have a new one. I fitted a $30 berkley rod holder and it is a fishing machine. They are good value

No paddle unfortunately but you can pick one up at a second hand shop if you call around. Is real stable due to the flat bottom but gets a bit slow in the chop.

k

a paddle should be cheap 2nd hand right, probably like $30 or something. i'll have a look at BCF for one next time i'm there. or i may go to anaconda depending on day.

thanks for your help bretto, really appreciate it.

They dont look to bad for that price at all :cheer: .

I might get one actiolly, probably wont have enough money for a bit, but as soon as i do, i reckon ill defintely consider it. Would they be alright for taking down rivers??

depends on the current, if it's pretty strong with waves i wouldn't but if it's slow and calm go ahead.
