Fishing Spots around Samford

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone new any decent (by decent i mean a body of water that might have a fish) fishing spots around Samford. I am desperate to get some fishing done and as i am only 14 it has to be somewhere where it wouldnt be too hard for mum to come with me. I am interested in fresh or saltwater spots around the area or any good spots in the city i can target over the last few weeks of the holidys

Not really, North Pine would be the closest to you I can think of (not really that far, up to dayboro and across). People have been doing well off the bank there though!

I think someone is talking about a AFO outing there in the near future. There is a fishing comp at Lake Kurwongbah on Australia day being run by Petrie Lions that I am taking the kids along to.

What Surf fishing verses pest eradication in the mud? I would not be to sad either!

Oh well, at least the lions comp wont have any scantily clad beach bimbos to distract one from the serious business of fishing!
