Bananna Prawns, southern bay

Anyone on to the prawns yet, or have you heard of anyone getting them.

Not in the bay, but definitely in the creeks

wont start seeing them till end of march-early april will we?..just in time for the green zones

Not sure about the specific species, but my mate got a couple of kilos in the net the other night in a creek.

They're (some sort of brawn at least) are apparently in Tinnie creek as well, so can't see why there wouldn't be more in other creeks too.

I got quite a few banana prawns in breakfast ck the other night. Still a bit small. Good size for bait but just a touch small for eating.

Also got a few tiger prawns a few weeks ago at the pinkenba boat ramp. Was very surprised as I thought they were an offshore deepwater species. Only about 10cm long though.

got a bunch that were good bait size just across from the water police at fisherman island......there's some mudflats over there - about 3 metres over most of it leading up to the bigger tides.

also got two tiger prawns in there - one was a stonker about 6 inches

a mate got 12kg of babana prawns the other week..
