queensland Gold Coast Bass Session

Headed up to one off the gold coast creeks in search of a few bass and managed to find 26. Biggest went 38cm and the smallest was about 10cm. Was a fun session but had a lot of dragging my kayak between pools. Most fish were taken on the old faithful gold sammy and a rebel crick hopper in black and gold which proved to be deadly when the surface bite shut down.

I've got one of those Sammy's picked it up in a second hand lot of lures, Good lure, never ever seen another one.

They can be hard to find as the gold ones are pretty popular. Every time my mate does an order for the shop I ask him to put a few aside for me as I loose alot of lures. That one pictured was eaten by a tailor yesterday.
