queensland Tweed Nine Mile Today

hey all,

went for a fish today with my brother.

left from southport at about 8 oclock and headed straight out to the reef just out from there to jig for some bait fish. we did so and caught about 15 then headed down to broadbeach and had a troll about nine milde out of there didnt manage anything on the troll so started heading out to tweed nine mile and brothers first drop with a livie got himself a nice amberjack that would have been 6kg or so. all went quiet for an hour or so then a quick 10minute blitz cam on with us landing 6 nice redthroat emperors. then we hooked up to a massive fish that didnt stop running. we chased it to keep above it but all failed cause of 100pound jinkai breaking on strain, we wished we got him on the dogfight

overall it was an okay day but a bit uncomfortable as it was a big swell.

lookign to go out again next monday.

umm at the reef where we got the bait there was massive balls and they were so dense but not at tweed

i think the reef with the bait is called scottish price or something like that

Oh yeah I know the Scottish Prince. Thats the one just SE of the seaway right? Much surface action though?

my brothers got some pictures ill try get off him the unstoppable i think could have been a big AJ , cobia or cod. but at the end we pulled up a remorer about 1m long mustve been a hge shark around! haha
