queensland First attempt at SPs 10/05 Hornibrook Flats

Hey guys,

Had my first attempt at SPs on Saturday, chasing the elusive flathead! hehe

Headed out to the south side of the Hornibrook Bridge an hour before low tide on saturday afternoon.

Took with me some nuclear chicken, pumpkin seed and pink sps.

Got nothing first hour on the nuclear chicken so changed over to the pumpkin seed and within the hour or two got 2 flathead (only small, 20cm and 35cm) and a Flounder!!! (suprised I caught this on a SP, attacked it when it was stationary.)

All in all pretty happy with my first effort! Now i have a PB of 35cm to beat!!

No pictures as my phone is brand new and didn't want to take it out with me wading!

Well done mate. Yeah flounder are not to uncommon on plastics and do actually give a good account of themselves!

Nice job mate, good luck getting your first legal Lizard. Caught a Flounder this weekend and he actually took some drag :laugh:. Might be good for some HB's at the flats next time.
