Snapper at Mud Island

Went out to Mud Island Thursday and landed a 5.7 kilo snapper, lot of branches in the water. Tried the bottom end and not a bite there current was running very strong, but it has been awhile since I got one this size. Will be going out again Saturday. :silly: When I work out this comp will add some pics

All I seem to get around Mud are squire/pinkies (but plenty of them which is a good sign for the future) - thats a really nice fish that I began to think never existed in that area!

Where abouts did you get it? In the deeper water on the west side?

Top end of mud on the northern point in about 25ft of water, you can see the top of the other beacon on the southern side.
