queensland Bli Bli Barra Fishing

Hey All,

Since moving back to brisane from the Gulf of Carpentaria ive had some serrious withdrawal symptoms from Barra Fishin! So ive packed the light gear and pulled out a few of hardbody lures from the thousands i have lying arround in my tackle boxes and im heading up to the Suncoast Barra Park in bli bli to get my fix! Also have packed some soft plastics that im gona give a crack. Got some Squidgy slick rigs in a few different colours as wel as some Tsunami 4inch swim shads in Chartreuse/silver and one my fav lure the rio prawn. And got some of those weedless horny toads by squidgy! havent used these before so im keen to find out what they are like. Cant wait to get into some barra again!

Thought i would put some pics up a few of the hardbody lures im packing. If you have any tips or advice id love to hear! Havent fished at this park before!

ok might need some help on putting pics up lol. dosent seem to be working

my best advice is take a kids rod to and whilst your luring chuck it out unwaited pellets as they seem to out fish everything else and dusk seems the best time of day

yeah i hear there is a small patch of water out the back that somehow has a sh... load of livies in there.. Gonna have to pack the net.. You think its still too cold for the barra to be on

Mate when you do reports make sure you start a new thread in the reports section.

There is a river behind the park you can get livies at.

From my experience there, trying hardbodies, SP's, livies & pellets.......the pellets unfortunately seemed to produce the goods more often than anything else.
