moogerah..........hows it fishing..?

havent heard any reports on moogerah for a long while,

has anyone fished it recently..? If so hows it going,

was thinking of hitting it on the weekend,

not much around at moogerah i been there abit lately and havent got much but maroon has been alright for bass at the moment on the surface late in the arvo

I was thinking about just that today. I got tomorrow off and was tossing up a trip to Moogerah instead of Maroon. It must still have some fish in it.

I have friends who own a property on the dam. They are Skiers, but apparantly the local word is the fish kill a few years was terrible. Considering the dam has not been stocked again (to my rsearchable knowledge) I cant imagine it would be great.

Im sure a few yellas would have survived being so much hardier in low, warm, muddy waters, but I think the bass would be few and far between.

Angus you are right i am on the dam they have just restocked with cod and bass but will be sometime alright i wouldnt bother if you drive from brisbane it would be a wast of money

Bugger. I assumed that there would have been a few fingerlings tossed in over the last few years. I remember watching Rex Hunt pulling some decent bass out of there a few years back.

Looks like a Maroon mission then.

yeah i think my dad told me a about the fish kill at moogerah and not to bother fishing there.

it was a good 1 to fish before that i have heard from a few .

well it's good to hear it been restocked.

how long to they take to grow ?

mite be time to in it up in about 3 years ?

i have fished reynolds creek ,runs off moogerah .a few different spots in the canoe and went for a wonder up stream to find fishy spots.no really any luck.

most peeps i talk to on the creek not much luck .seams it has been quite for a few years.
