ROD and Reel combo

Hi i am chasing a new 1 or 2 piece rod and reel for fishing on my boat. I would be using the rod to chase brim, whitting, flat head and what ever else i can pull out from the brisbane river , esturies and i will fish around mud Island etc.

Im after a combo where i can use both lures and bait if i need be or would i be better off just with a bait rod and a lure rod as seperate.

I am after a quality and nice set up. Willing to spend up to 1g for both rod and reel.

anyone give me some ideas on what to get ? Id like to stick with shiamano or daiwa. but am open to other brands. I have a couple of ideas from talking to tackle shops.

Thats a big ask, might be better splitting your dosh, get a couple of rods (a light and a medium heavy)and a reel with a couple of spools of different size line.
