went on a jack mission last nite with the guru, i dont know anyone who has caught more 50 plusses this season, i was invited along to take photos of the monsters and it was about 10pm when the first large one struck, 5min later it was in the net, had its pic taken and was released.

released, you gota be kiddin me that fish was as healthy as they come. caught the splash on camera as it powered off. you cant of seen to many jacks to make a call like that:P

as for the exact methods and details, mullet on a weighted rig. fish was 57cm long.

Troy, im sorry mate but your nothing short of wrong. if your worried about my fingers in his gills think again, when holding jacks you can place 2 fingers hard against there 'gill casing' which doesnt get in the way of their gills, its just the outside cartiledge im holding onto. ive released quite a number this season, all release well.
