Got a good feed of claw but not a touch on bait or lures. The water level is down a bit and Youngs Crossing road is open so the flood gates are closed.

Reckon SEQ water would have done a fish rescue today.

Hope to do better tomorrow with Angus and Henry as deckies.

To be honest though, Ill trade being wet for a chance to be out of the heat on the dam anyday.

Yes it was realy hard work as the colour of the water and the drop in water temp sent them off sulking somewhere. Managed 8 got only 2 on lures and 6 on shrimp from 3 diff locations. Also got heaps of side swipes on the lures and a couple of escapees.

I went to Youngs this morning expecting it to be open at last, but the road is still closed and the river is a raging torent. They must have re-opened the flood gates again...?

Not happy cos I've had all this week and weekend off work and was planning to get stuck into the fish, and the flooding has ruined it for me. Of course the rain will finally stop and the rivers will go down once I'm back at work :S

What's the go with Hinze Dam at the moment - can you get onto the water at the South Western ramp, the old one?
