Ok I wish to go and Wipe out some tillies Tomorrow morn early :evil:. Can anyone tell me where is the best place to find them. and what bait to use or lures.

Can you fish at MT CROSBY WEIR or KOHLO bridge ??

kohlo bridge is no problem but the waters not real deep

dont know about the wier havent been there since i was a little tacker

Mt Crosby Weir has a no fish fish zone a few hundred meters either side of the wall.

Tillies = Tilapia???

If so North Pine is meant to be the go.

However i went bait fishing for them the other day and only got three bass and silver perch! I guess i should not complain.

just down stream from wivenhoe spillway i've caught them there in the past have not been there for a while.

Yeah STU thats another good spot.

We used to get some monsters there on shrimp.

Right up to the spillway (before i knew you are not allowed to fish there :blush: ).

I saw a guy get some in a cast net at colleges as well.

Looks like they are on the move.

Thanks fellars, I hope to have friday off so mite go for drive to Wivenhoe. I dont think weather will be with me to take boat out anywhere, so land based it will be.

Angus : went for a drive Sun afternoon to MT CROSBY ,downstream youd have to be mountain goat to get to water, Up stream is a 10ft fence with razor wire on top, I think they want ya to stay out.NP could also be worth a try if only for a bass.

Aaron : I thought about Tinny Ck but was looking for something arround Ippy. Less trafic & no motorway.

wivenhoe would definately be good take heaps of breadcrumbs and small hooks
