Should be interesting with the river fishing well and the holidays upon us.

Ill be trying for an uneligible entry for sure both land based locally and hopefully in the river mouth as a deckie.

put one up from last weekend to get the comp ticking along.

caught bigger fish in March, but this is the best for April to date - should be easily beaten??

Cute fish Marty, was the megabass lure you got that fish on well proven for jew, might have a crack if someone can recommend some good jew lures.

yes, had caught a couple of others on the same lure - have been getting them from an area that is holding a fair bit of bait

haha mate i have landed around 10 jewies this month between 50cm and 1mtr mark but i didnt know it was fish of the month till now. i got one last week around 85cm and its in the freezer if i get a pic will that count hahaha or i can go get another one. cheers

been a bit busy gus, headed out on friday for a few squire and tailor but didn't get any jew. haven't hit the river much this month hopefully get out a few times before the closing date lol

A live herring - Had a 60cm Jewie on Saturday morning at the Seaway.

thanks gus they were out in force last night. both steve and i dropped a few nice fish too but hard to say if they would have been upgrades or more of the same

On another note I had no idea about this FOTM either but lost an 80-1m Jew at the friggin boat earlier this month through being too fish friendly and wanting to comfort lift it in rather than bend it into a smaller net. Forgot to back the drag off and with a last kick for freedom popped the leader as I was holding onto it reaching down.

Personally I think we should all take my word for it and give me the win :laugh:
