queensland goldie 36's 24's casino and golden gate

went out saturday in top conditions at about 4:30am...

trolled 3 lures all the way to the 36's for no hits... jigged some yakkas on the way also a tailor for strip bait...

anchored up on 36s for a skipjack on a live yakka, skippy was great bait for the rest of the day...

went to casino reef... the baitschools were thick and close to the bottom... jigged up a few more but no predators around for some real action... pulled up a 20cm goatfish on the baitjig which was entertaining..

then hit golden gate reef... boated 3 tuskies from 1.5-2 kilo and a legal dinner size squire... (went down very nicely on the bbq that night)

24s produced nothing for us...

plenty of undersized squire around, hopefully the big fellas will move in soon...

I know very little about the reefs you speak of being predominently an estuary fisherman, but is it unusual not to get anything on the troll on the way over? Also if you ever need some more on deck you dont have to look to far!!

we trolled 3 lures.. a pakula skirt, a deep diving laser pro 190 and a magnum 2m diver..

havent ever picked up anything on the troll in my boat yet
