sold Need help in identifying fish

Hi went fishing today and caught the most ugliest fish you could come across. Did not want to even touch it. It even made a toadfish look tasty. Anyway, it had a head like the Gus fish and kep on spitting this blue stuff...Anyway I did not throw it back in the water as I did not want to poison this pristine QLD water. It actually looks like something you would catch down in the Sydney Harbour....Your help would be appreciated...
