Does anyone own a emotion stealth kayak?

Ive been looking for some time at different kayaks im wondering if anyone owns or knows anyone who owns an emotion stealth kayak from anaconda.They retail for $1150 and are down to around $800 with the 30% off.

Im not planning on paddling to many miles on it but i dont want something thats too slugish and hard to push into the current.

Just wondering how it would compare to something like a viking nemo or espri?

Other thing to consider is viking have ten year warranty on them and the emotion only three years.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Forgot to mention!Ive been back through many old posts on this site and others and cant find a great deal of posts on the emotion stealth.

keen-as-fisho had one and was happy with it.....until he borrowed my Hobie

Now he has one too and sold his. The espri is a better designed yak and more rugged. Depend really whether you want an excel, a commodore or a mercedes. All do the same thing, just the price and comfort/style differs

Ideally i would like a hobie but having a young family doesnt allow me that sort of money or time on the water to get my moneys worth.

Mine was actually the mojo, much the same but had two rod holders behind the seat and a scotty rod holder on the centre console, it was 1300 from memory, but as Tomca said, once youve had Hobie you aint never going back

So would it be fair to say at $1150 the full retail price they are over priced?

i have the Espri, and it definetly isnt short on speed. Goes great through strong currents with ease, and all over im happy with

The viking range is definitely worth a look too mate. Have fished from my mate's one and it was pretty good. Got nothing to compare it to though. Might be worth hiring or borrowing one first - see if you like it?

Look into the Cobra range of yaks as well.

I have heard nothing buy good things on the explorer. They are a little harder to find 2nd hand which is normally a good sign.

Look through the post on KFDU and AKFF, if you are really serious.

I am in the same boat as you not much money so went with the Dagger Voyager, don't regret it until I fish around the hobies
