baitcaster combo?????

hey currently do not have a decent baitcaster combo and was wondering if anyone could give me a hand on what to purchase.

will be wanting something fairly light for bass fishing and possibly barra when i get a chance to head out somewhere to catch one,

price range for reel is 100 - 200

and rod anything below 150?

A good reel smack in the middle that price range is a shimano citica;

for rods, if you keep your eye on the 2nd hand market for a majorcraft rod, you'll be able to get something good for 150 or under. Recently picked up a pretty well brand new Beneyro from a fella for $120

you won't find a better rod than the entry-mid level JDM's, the beneyro has Titanium SiC guides (except the stripper) is very light and superb build quality

would have no worries throwing lures for bass on that rod and also gave it a good workout the other night on a big thready. there are some similar rated majorcraft rods so my advice is to keep your eye open for one if you dont need the combo immediately

Good advice, I picked up a brand new Curado 101E for $175 delivered. Excellent reel for very light lures, but a little undergunned for barra. You would get a 200E7 in your price range, or an ABU Revo SX.

Lots of bargains if you don't mind buying OS.
