Yakking Pine River 11/3

Jords

Recommended Posts

Went down and launched from near Deep Water Bend at around 7.20ish before uni, and went for a bit of a troll, hoping to pick up a flattie. Was a pretty slow morning, ended up with about a dozen rat bream, the biggest going about 27cm to the fork. Unforunately no flatties turned up, was hoping for one to take home for lunch :( .Few photos of some of the bream, the smallest was less then double the size of the lure (Tilsan Bass)

Sorry about poor pic quality, was on my own and only had my phone with me. AS i came off the water saw one of the best equipped bass/bream boats i have ever seen, a very sleek looking black number.

Cheers

Yeah it is always nice just to get away from it for a paddle. I think my usual trolling speed may be a bit too fast, as the majority of the fish were hooked when i stopped paddling....Also, I was fishing unusually shallow water (like 2ft tops), and didnt realise until i had hooked 3 or 4. Also, only the pink lure seemed to be getting anything, i ran a variety of other colours on the other rod, without a touch
