queensland A short Bass session today

Today my brother and i went to go get some natives for the tank and do some filming of them entering traps. I thought i might take the rod along for some fun and it turned out to be quite a good short session.

I got about 5 bass while my brother was doing some trapping. All from about high 20's to high 30's.

Got some okay shots and a short video. It was no record breaking session, but it was some good impromptu fun. And some of those fish gave a great account of themselves on the UL gear.

The video is best in 720p HD and i think there should be a 1080p version as well once it is processed.

Ryan, today we were after pacific blue eyes.

But generally we go for rainbows and smelts, our tank is sort of over run at the moment with them though so thought some blue eyes would mix things up.

Really love the underwater stuff ! What camera are you using for this ?

Sweresy, it shot on a GoPro HD. They are pretty decent for the money but i wish i had saved up and chipped in extra for a HD video SLR and underwater housing.

I didn't head down until around 4:30 / 5pm looks like a cool little spot, will hit it up over the next week or two and see what i can pull out !
