Went down to do a bit of exploring around some local creek (Samford) too see if I could find my own version of the lost world. The creeks I walked around flow from the Pine, so theoretically I was in with a chance. All up I would have walked 4 or 5 km through heavy scrub, most of the time just opting out and walking through the water. There was some beautiful scenery, with some nice big pools segmented by short intervals of rapids, however the pools were quite shallow, rarely being deeper than 1m. Highlight of the day would have to have been another bug deciding that my camo-stick was its new home, this time a nice little preying mantis. Also dropped a pot to see if there were any shrimp in the creeks, only got half a dozen overnight.

Nah mate think the bass were a bit lost too. BUt going to check out a little bit further downstream later this week

It is just a little creeek I drive past pretty much every day mate, just decided it was finally time to have a look

i've found 4 good spots now doing that.

Mate there should be bass in there or at least I know there are a few little creeks with bass around Samford. Also a meter of water could easily hold a few fish
