Braid or Mono for all round fishing

Hi guys,

Just bought a gary howard 8kg moreton bay stick and about to get a 4500B baitrunner (maybe a D if it comes on special) and planning on using it for as an all round stick in the bay for soft plastics, floating baits & spinning for tuna. From what i understand the braid is better for plastics and mono for bait fishing. Whats the best choice for doing abit of everything?

Mono and don't worry about plastic

For the combo you've got mono would be more suitable as I dont think the Baitrunners lay braid on the spool very well, you can still use plastics on mono it's just not ideal that's all. As for bait yeah good things might come but better things can come with plastics.

Mate use mono as it will give you a bit of give when you react to a bite with braid you tend to rip the hook out of the fishs mouth.
