New Model Sakana Lures Just Arrived!

After months of testing and fine tuning, i am pleased to announce the arrival of a small shipment of 2 new models of our popular Sakana crankbaits. The existing range which many of you are familiar with suspend in saltwater and sink slowly in fresh. We have now introduced a floating version of this lure. After quite a lengthy delay due to some production problems, i am also pleased to annouce the arrival of a floating Deep Diver version.

The standard versions dive down to around 0.6 metres. The Deep Diver version gets down to 2 metres plus. All versions feature the tight shimmy action and rattle that Bream and Bass in particular seem to love. All of these lures have been fully tested over the past year by quite a few ABT anglers who report really good results using them.

The best news of the lot is that they are very affordable.The recommended retail price of all versions is just $12.95 and AFO members can buy them at a special discount from our Pro-Dealer stores for just $10.95 each!! You just need to tell them you are a AFO member or have fished in an Austackle tournament.

This first shipment has been bought in by air with the main shipment coming by sea. Stock will only be supplied to our Pro-Dealers in SE Qld and northern NSW initially later this week. Other stores will have to wait until the rest of the stock arrives by ses in about 5 weeks time.

You need to be very careful about where you do a pre-fish. A copy of the relevant rule is below. Dont want to see you disqualified before you even start.

There will be a practice fishing ban for all competition waterways and linked systems

from dawn on the Monday week prior to the competition until dawn on the

Thursday\Friday immediately before the tournament. For instance, if a Qualifier

tournament is held over the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of a month, the

pre-fish ban will extend from dawn on Monday the 8th until dawn on Friday the 19th.
