catching live bait

hi all 1st time on here how is every one. i need some help on locations for catching live bait. im going fishing on thursday for the 1st time in the mouth of the brissie river ,i want to catch some live herring/poddies etc will be fishing either mud island or the shipping wharves/rock wall can any one help me on locations for bait

Mate I'm not sure of any exact spot but try around jetty's, bridges, pillions, wharfs or anything of the like should find you some herring..

Where are you launching from Will. I cant see your profile to see where you live. If from Nudgee floodway anywhere near the ramp, Colmslie at the end of the pontoon at the ramp are two spots i have done ok from. As daz said its just a matter of having a go and try not to get snagged.
