had planed to go over to moreton, but with the wind report from seabreeze saying 20-25knts from the sth-east- sth sth-west changed our minds.

it was a late start for us as we were going to have a look a a 4wd to buy. we got up at 8 and headed over to coopers plains and had a good look at a 97 triton, 2" lift, long rang fuel tank, 60L under tray water capasity, canopy, c.b, spoties, full eletrics including not having to get out of the car to lock the hubs is and 6 mths rego for 9.5k. we put our deposit down and pending road worthy from our guy ( not theirs ).

first spot we hit was to get bait. we sat at the nth-west end of mud near the cardinal marker for about 45-1hr which produce us 50-60 pike.

we pulled anchor and headed for our spot at the nth-east side of mud near the cardinal. at around 5.00 we had anchored and started the buleigh trail. at around 5.30, sun set the wind picked up to 2oknts and got quite choppy. we set out our baits which cosisted of whole or 3/4 pike and kicked back. we were rocking and rolling when my shimano 6500 bait runner went zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i picked it up and waited for another good run and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, wound the handle to engage the bait runner and lift the rod slightly to engage the hooks and i was on, very short fight on 50lb braib and up comes a 52cm snappery squire.

next thing we no we got inundated with good old wobbies, ( scum ) so we decided rather loose to much tackle on them, we up anchored and took refuge out of the wind on the eastern side of the island, put a shark bait out and got some shut eye.

beep beep beep beep beep beep, alam went of at 5.00, got the placos ready pulled anchor and headed of for a morning of throwing s.p's around. we only incounded small squire ranging from 20-30cm so we called ity quits at 7.00 and headed in.
