Nerang River (sorry no pics)

Hit the bridges on the Goldie last night and got quite a few big eye trevally on vibes, blades and plastics. I also landed a 39 cm whiting on a river2sea glassie vibe. Just as we were starting to think about heading home, my mate got SMASHED!!! Big fight on light gear and we were calling it for a nice Jewie. Up it came and to our amazement it was a Jack!!!! The last thing we expected at this time of year!! I ran as fast as I could under the bridge, climbed the fence and got the lip grips safely in his jaw. He went 56cm!!! Cracker Jack and a great night fishing.

Oh yeah I thought I should let everyone know that Jack fishing in the coomera this summer will be banned! Big fines being handed out. Plus I heard that they have picked up a virus and will be all shutdown anyway. also they migrate out of the coomera so it wouldnt be worth trying anyway.
