Daiwa D-Shock-G Spin Combo - 6'6", Medium

Hey Fisho's

I am looking to buy presents for one of my mates 21st Birthday and he does not have a fishing rod yet. I am wondering how the Daiwa D-Shock-G Spin Combo - 6'6", Medium combo from bcf is. I have researched a bit and i think its the best for that price range of spinning rods. Can anyone give opinions if this is a good buy or are there other rod combos that are better for around a 70$ price range.

On this note i am also thinking of getting 1-3 tcurv and a 1000 stradic for my little brother or myself when i have the money, I assume it is one of the better buys because of the popularity of this rod on this forum.

Also the tip of one of my shimano rods has broken does anyone know how to fix this and get the tip of the rids from.

hey mate.

ive got that exact rod. and ive had it for a year. no real complaints at all. awesome rod. not to stiff not too soft either. i can cast lures and baits easy and accurately. cant complain one bit really

For the $, it does its job.

Bought one for the wife and It has landed bream and tailor on the surface and flatties on plastics. Great starter combo.

Any ideas on fishing rod tip repairs and stuff. Or is it all generally DIY?

DIY - You can get tip repair kits pretty much anywhere.

ive got one of these rods too, and i love it , just good allrounder! especially for the dollars.

also a couple of weeks ago my mate was casting raiders lures out at fraser and pulling in 40+ cm tailor on it, i waqs shocked when he pulled it out haha.
