queensland Another glassed out day midweek! Who's fishing

Looks like another mid-week beauty! Just checked the weather lokks like a 1 to 5 knot west south westerly on an incoming tide. Should be unreal, I will be testing out a few new bits and pieces including a new game reel from oztackle.. Is anyone else heading out?

off out into the bay again, had a great wednesday last week, a couple of sharks two unstoppales and spooled by a nice thready, this week im better prepared

trying to get thursday off, fingers crossed.. haha, soo keen to head out to mud.. the weather is unreal.. im also keen for a shark sesh maybe.. what sort of gear were you using when u got spooled?

6 kilo rod and a lot of 50 pound braid, I go him right next to the boat in under a minute, i could feel the wieght but very little fight then he put a couple of big kicks in and just kept going, I seriously couldnt slow him down and knowing I was going to run out of line I locked the drag just about but he took that too.. its the biggest run I ever had from a threadie!

:OOOO.. where did u hook him?? out in the bay?? ive always wanted to get a thready.. i use a 4-8kg stick was 12lb braid.. hahaha maybee a little light ..

In the bay runty.. I got spooled on the same setup I got that 1.4 thready on.. it was just a freak Ive never seen one run like that before...

Ps If I had a dollor for everytime Ive read "Im so keen for mud" from you Id be able to buy new braid to replace what I lost haha

shanks, got a few hits, but went back after about 1 hour because it was starting to blow up a .. i got some big hits.. took a whole pilly which just missed the hook..

nah i was with a friend.. it was about 12-15knots blowing.. and i could see white caps, but thought.. it really doesn't look to bad.. and we made it over, i thought pretty easily.. pretty rough by the hull went straight tho it

yep!!!!1 more day of work on tuesday.then iam on holidays.evry things on hold till the wind picks back up. cant wait!!!!!! :woohoo: iam thinking doin alot of bay and a little bit of offshore, would mind headin up the beach to try out a new toy

ill probz be heading out thursday morning.. ill be at mud pretty much all day, ill be in an unpainted tinny, black electric motor on the front, casting deck and little silver Mainer outboard
