how much rope?

got some redclaw pots ready for the season, heading to somerset and north pine lake. how long is the rope i should attach to the pots? or, how deep is the water? 5m? 10m?

mate i only go from the bank at north pine but i have 20mtrs of rope on my pots

20m of rope on each pot?!? so 8 pots that's 160m of rope?

Are you going from bank or boat?

In NPD using floats from a boat I use 30 feet of rope on my pots and wind the slack around the float as i usually am in between 10 to 20 feet of water.

I use venetian blind cord on most of mine as it does not float if I happen to have excess line out.

There is nothing worse than having long lengths of floating rope trailing out from your float.

Waste of time putting ypur pots in more than 20 feet of water in NPD.Best spots near trees or in around 15 feet of water on edge of dropoff into deeper water.

Do you still get a few from the bank? Im about to move 5 minutes down the road from NPD and would like to have some pots set
