has anyone fished these reefs in a tinnie? keen as hell to go out there and try sus out some new ground

Have fished Sunshine Reef a couple of times. Very hit and miss. One time we got onto some reefies. The other time we got several mackerel. Third time we got zip.

Did a few drifts over Jew shoal and caught a few nice grassies.

Any of these shallow reefs are going to fish best at dusk or dawn.

On a good day a tinnie will be fine, make sure you have your safety gear including flares as the water police and fisheries regulary patrol and enforce the law.

Early morning fishes best, spaniards and spotties should be here soon. An old wise fisherman once told me that after the full moon in November they turn up.
