Hi all,

Headed out to peel early Saturday morning chasing some Sandies for Xmas. Came up with a donut on the Sandies but while waiting for the pots to soak got seven nice snapper 37-45cms drifting over the reefs for a couple of hours.

Numerous smaller fish also caught - there is a plague there at the moment!!

Weather was a bit nasty as the wind got up to 20knots so a slow trip back but a good mornig regardless.

Think Peel is my new favourite spot :cheer:

hmm never been out to pearl, ill have to give it a go one weekend. shame about the sandies but the fish made up for it. :cheer:

Nice catch, hope there was more than 1 person in the boat (which I'm sure there was), or your risking big fines, the fisheries have been checking people more and more in that area. I have even been pulled up in the yak a couple of times now.

Drop your pots at nudgee, tingalpa creek mouth they full of sandies atm.

Plenty of sandies around Wello as well, after speaking to the pro briefly on Sat morning.

Many undersize grassies in your session?

We got 3 grassies as well - just undersize

Pity they were not a bit bigger as I like them for eating!
