Big Bream??

Hey guys, I have been fishing in the brisbane area for a while now and have been catching thousands of tiny, well below legal sized bream. I am jst wondering if anyone knows any spots where the big bream hang out.

Mate, if you are catching the little guy's well I think you are fishing the right spot to catch the bigguns.

Try using bigger baits cause by the sounds of it the little guy's are nicking the bait before the bigguns get in there for a feed. Big bream are smart fish and very timid and tend to suss baits out alittle longer than the smaller bream.

if you are using sinkers..try without maybe...try somthing different..you might crack it as to where and how the bigguns are biting.

where are you fishing anyway?

Yeah i agree with both Dazza and Jimmy.

Where there are little guys there are most likely bigger ones.

Maybe try live bait, these should last longer with little bream around.

Also i always have better luck with bream fishing at night.

Yeap well said Dazz - big bait big fish.

Try suspending the bait under a float.

Try fishing on the surf sides of islands. Especially the 2 Stradbrokes (N & S)

Try Fishermans Island, But for me the best place so far has been up north at Mooloolaba,at La Balsa Park. I know its not in Brisbane but been catching some monster bream. And the Best time to fish there has been the incomming tide.
