drag netting redcliffe area

hi everyone i have just gotten a drag net

does anyone know wheres a good place around redcliffe and surrounding areas to drag it as we tried near the boat ramp near margate beach but no luck

The little beach at Scarborough near that big kids park across from the pub might be worth a try ??

Have caught stonefish there so take care if you do give it a whirl.

ive got a massive drag net, used to love using it although i havnt in ages. was a very effective way to catch bait but sucks in winter as im tall and going in the deep end comes with the territory.

we used to chuck dog food and bread out and wait until we could see the fish having a crack at the food, then just do a big loop around. used to clean up.

ive got no idea about spots around redcliffe sorry, but this post gave me the motivation to get my net out and unravel it in the backyard to check it is fit for purpose! it is so i will give it a run soon.
