queensland Beerwah comp

Hi guys, last week end saw the Beerwah Comp being held, you can fish anywhere in Australia in this comp as long as your at weigh in point midday Sunday to weigh in.

A group of us from Brisbane enter and have a lot of fun at this comp which raises money for the Nambour Hospital Children's Ward, a great cause.

Had a prefish during the week and found my target species, leader board tells the story with some good fish in some categories and small winners in others, all weights gutted and gilled.

Cobia was caught of the beach by a Tailor fisherman, and the winning Bream and Tailor were much smaller than previous years.

For those members that live in the area it is worthwhile keeping in mind for next year, it is run from the Glass House Mountains Bowls Cub, cheers wayne

Yes Binder it is, good little comp run by some great people.

Very observant Jnr and Fishingnut, being a little comp with a lot of locals some of the names appearing on the leader board from time were nick names, wasn't game to ask how they got them.

thanks Wayne, will have to keep an eye out for it. It used to clash with the kayak comp from memory, so had been keen to have a go, but timing was never right. Web page had disapeared this year so I just assumed the comp had disappeared.
