hey goin house boatin on the 2,3and 4th of november and was wondering what the river is like there fishing wise? any info would be great and would love to know if any one had any sucess for jacks in the area.

I hired one from there a few years back great fun but it was more a drinking weekend than a fishing trip we ended up moored out the front of tipplers caught some small bream there on prawns but had more fun at the bar at tipplers, I have not drunk rum since that trip lol probably not much help

and also dont let the batteries run out on the house boat with your porn still stuck in the video player bit embarasing when you have to get the owners to get it out for you.lol

yes many of rums will be consumed but i mainly wana fish the 9 people will be drinkin 90% of the time and burlieghing the water for me the other 10%

Kriso and dont anchor up in the middle of the main channel police dont like that for some reason.haha

There are alot of big boats that go through and they scare the fish away. But if you find some place out of the main channel, you should get fish.

I asked this question a while ago after i wrote a report on going on a trip where we didn't catch anything spectacular.

apparently up the top part. Between south and north straddie but in and around the little islands. You're not allowed in the main channel. Apparently there are some good bream, flatties and sharks around there. You'll get it when you see their maps.

Makes sure you go beach worming on the other side of south straddie.

hahahaha stu thats awesome haha, yea kriso you cant go out that way without stopping into tipplers for a night, its a great spot, although all we got from fishing there was a whole heap of pike eels.. you will have a great time though!
