Well after the last couple of salt sessions being reasonably slow with only a couple of these little fellas per session,

I decided it was finally time to go creek bashing for wild surface bass!

The conditions were in my favour; rising barometer, overcast conditions and the water temp has really increased over the last week or so.

Started slow until I chucked on a plastic rigged for surface fishing.

Then got a few in quick succession.

Was such a good feeling getting into the bass again. Forgot how hard they go!

Managed 8 for the session ranging from 28-35cm. Pretty small but still a lot of fun.

Cheers ,

Sam

Great little sesh.. Yet to open my account this season. Can't wait to get on the water.

What sort of placcy were you using??

A SnapBack minnow. Basically a cheap version of the zman minnow. Looks and works the same and sorta has that motor oil shine in the water. The only bad thing is the terrible scent it comes with.
