queensland Mooloolah river more bream again

headed out for a couple of hours this evening around the trawlers again. got there and started fishing around 6pm the wind was up a little around 15 knots and the tide coming in fast. chucked on a 3\" gulp minnow in moldy cheese on a 1/16th head but after a trial cast had to go up to a 1/8th head to make it anywhere near the bottom, had a good hit second cast and landed my first fish about 10 casts later a good start at 28.5cm, the fish came up and took the plastic right at my feet it was awesome to watch

next fish came just after dark on the same plastic. a little smaller at 28cm

a few minutes later and the full moon rose over the horizon.

next was a nice specimen at just under 33cm and fat as. he smashed the lure and headed straight for a pole but pulled him up just in time .

next fish went a tickle under 30cm and was the best fight of the night, the little feller faught well above his weight

fish no 5 25 cm

fish no 6 was just under 28cm and was the only fish not caught on the 3\" moldy cheese, got him on a 2\" gulp shrimp in mango ripple

and the last fish on my last cast at 9pm was this fish at 30cm

The pike were not very thick tonight :woohoo: I only got about a dozen.

not a bad session for 3 hours. The size was a little down but whos complaining. no 40cm+ model this time but ill get him next trip

im just fishing from the jetty (I got all 8 fish within a 30 meter section of the jetty). Jimmy we will hit it for sure. I havent got a camera yet but ive been borrowing one . I went out with a mate last night to caloundra and scored a nice estuary COD and a n ice flatty ill post a reprt soon

Angus- yeh they hang around all year, its a ripper of a spot

nice one mate i was up at moloolah a couple of days ago and looked for this place but couldnt find it.. ended up fishing a little canal for no luck. although had succes in the maroochy and noosa rivers. Nice bream.
