North Pine 29 1 14

Out to North Pine again today.

With the wind blowing like stink for days, the second the forecast was below 25 knots, I was out there! Want to get in as many trips as possible before starting time changes back to 6am on Monday (currently 5am)

Was a squally wet day and it was tough going to get some fish. Managed 9 odd real fish and a couple of forkies, one 3 times!

Biggest Bass

Biggest Yella, notice he is even looking a little yellow, most NPD ones are pretty washed out.

Zombie catfish

Caught this fella on one rod and lost him at the boat. Next rod went off and I got him on the boat (know it was the same fish as my other hook was still in his gob). Used my usual forkie restraint method, thought he was dead and tossed him back to feed the redclaw, only to have another rod go off immediately again! Pulled in the same cattie yet again!

Know it was the same fish because of the restraint marks in his head! Bl@@dy zombie catfish, stealing bait even when it is dead!

When the waves started breaking over the transom I figured it was getting to windy for the back anchor, didn't want to use the front anchor on the timber snags, so headed for home around 10am.

Oh yeah, I did manage a PB turtle, must of been nearly 40cm across the shell!
