At least our house build got started on Monday, it was constantly raining but the tradies were still working and they put up all the wall frames, hopefully the roof trusses will be up by the weekend. So looking forward to more sunshine. I went out fishing on the jetty just before the rain started for a total amount of zilch fish. Not even any nibbles, the baits were in the water for over two hours and not even picked at. So eventually I got the hint and went back home. All I caught was dose of sunburn.

That's good news about your house Ed. Once you get the roof on it's pretty well

weather proof for the tradies to get into it.At least you got the floor poured before

the rain. Good luck with it.

I've just been down the creek sorting out flood gates.

Hope you have kept all stock and not lost too much topsoil...

No losses Brett, just really good rain, mostly good steady showers

wave after wave, just like the wet seasons of years ago.

Wet seasons don't worry us, we have enough tucker for at least

2 months, enough to survive anyhow and we don't need to go anywhere.

We never moved a wheel for 6 months in 1974 during that '' rain event ''

so all's good.We ended last night with 358mm so that's a good start to the year.
