Launched at 5am and saw a bit if surface action near intake tower so flicked a stick bait for 10 minutes and no reaction so proceeded to bank on opposite side and began bait fishing.We were bagged out by 5.30 and ran out of bait by 6.15 as we only had 27 shrimp.

With the 27 shrimp we caught 18 legal bass to 40cm and six unders plus one tandanus that was around 40cm.

We were even catching fish on regurgitated shrimp.

Started throwing some lures and got one small bass on a jackall.

As it was still early and the dam was glassed out we started off upstream trolling a variety of lures.

Ended up with around another 10 bass and a small yella ( 35cm)

Knocked off around 10ish after a top morning.

Got John Ford to take some photos but they were all of his finger.:silly:

Good stuff ray I heard there is alot of bass being caught there on spinnerbaits at the moment

Stu . Didnt even think of trying a spinner bait.

Lee Best two lures trolling were a couple of river 2 sea Hidep cnk 65s with the best colour being the blue/black they dive to 15 to 18 feet. The blue .black is also excellent at Baroon Pocket.

Havent seen them in the shops for a while.
