queensland Somerset camping/fishing tripp

plannign a trip with mum 2 go camping at somerset 4 a coupla days

but am an absolute freshwater nooob

hhaha

dunt have a boat but considering hiring a tinnie or canoe 4 like a day

but is ther any point

ALL help would b greatly appretiated

so far the plan is 2 have a half a day in the tinnie with like shrimp or sumthing as bait??

then spending the rest of the trip walking the banks casting lures

wat wuld b better than this haha ANY tips needed

i would say you will find it hard walking the bank as it is a huge place but the if you have a boat or canoe you should be able to get some bass and yellas some of the guys on the somerset trip this year got onto a little school of bass using shrimp good luck mate

Walkong the bank from the ramp to down in front of the rental house can be productive .We used to do ok for yellas and tandanus using shrimp in front of the house.

Do you have access to a trailer?

Why not borrow the AFO tinney?

If you have a trailer for your camping gear the tinney could sit on top.

Amart mate, I think that was caught on the brown one with the purple belly, got another one a similar size that day on a green one with the black stripes

Yeah, they are in the \"ET\" range now, Big W have em for $5.50, pretty well priced if you can stand looking at the idiot on the label!

trailer hire for 6 days would be less than tinny hire for 1 day id take the afo boat thats what its for:)
