:woohoo: Free at last, Free at last, Oh lord FREE AT LAST

  Bye honey, RRRRRRRRRR outa the air port car park strait to Schultz.

Met up with Lozzel, Jason(Faulked) and Jason's daughter Bella (Queen of the Toad fish).

I had a great day, was a bit blowie and wet, but a good day.

I spent most of it throwing around a River2Sea Baby Crank with no luck. Lost a lure and swaped to Squidgie Wrigglers. Couple of casts under the bridge and got smashed buy a nice little Bream. Loz took a pic and back in it went. Next cast back into the same spot and hit again:blink: . A little fight and landed another little Bream. No pic this time just put it back in. Went for a bit of a walk down stream with no love :( .

Anyways said bye to Loz and followed Jason back to his pad. A lovely home and fishing spot you have there Jase. I had a bit of a fish with a Baby Crank again with no hits.

Bella grabbed her TOAD FISH ROD:blink: and proseaded to give me a lesson on how to catch them 2 at a time:laugh:  . A top little fisher girl with a real passion for catch and release!! Both Jase and Bella started catching Catties and Bream for fun.

Bella with a nice little Bream!

Before they built the current airport, the area from where Schultz is now round the front to Pinkenba was a fantastic fishery. It was known as Cribb Island, and was also an important mangrove nursery for fish. It was renowned for 3foot plus flathead between the mangrove islands and channels.

They say what you do on new years day you do all year, so good to hear you had an enjoyable day.

Faulked, It's a bit unfortunate you're now destined to be catching 7cm bream all year though :P

A pom and a taswegian sunburnt on a day like today - that's not such a surprise:laugh:

Sorry mate - just letting out some pent up humour that's been kept at bay whilst working on a fun (not) job for the past dozen hours :pinch:
