Has anyone fished inskip point lately??

Im heading that way this weekend, landbased only and was wondering if any one had any hints, tips or locations?????

what is the fishing like on the inside in that protected bay?

also, has anyone used a surf popper?? if so, where do ya get them? what are they like?? and are they meant to be used like a lure??

I havnt been to inskip for almost a year, heading back in april. I have caught school mackerel on pillies and slugs. good luck! its a great spot.

mate my olds just got back...dad got heaps of macks off the beach...not a whole lot of birds or surface action he was saying..

surf poppers are like a popper head with a feather like tale..

think of a fly fishing popper..but heavier and way bigger

the only time i have ever fished inskip i caught countless small dart and whiting, a flathead and the biggest shovelnosed shark in the world (well maybe not but it was bigger than me). saw other guys catching mackeral by spinning off the beach while i was there.

Troys just been down and got heaps of dart to 45cm on vx40's and got spooled by a 15 - 20kg longtail on 8lb on his sol.

JD77, Inskip Point is about 10min drive from the little township of Rainbow Beach. From Inskip you can catch a 10-15min vehicle ferry ride to FRASER ISLAND.

sounds good...are there any camping spots around inskip???what about creeks and that for a few muddies??

Mate almost the whole of inskip is camping grounds. Just SUPER packed during school holidays.

is there any costs to camp??what about crabbing and fishing,any good?
